On 11 May 2018 we updated our Privacy Policy. This update is part of our continued commitment to transparency, using simple-to-understand language, and ensuring you always have control over your data. We’ve included provisions that clarify our efforts to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that goes into effect on 25 May 2018.

 With the new legality of the GDPR legislation, we are required to inform our customers of how we collect, use and store your data. New changes in global privacy law require us to review our standards and address requirements.

 Our commitment to privacy has not changed. At Zest, we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your account and to provide the products and services you have requested from us.  Your information will not be passed onto a third party, unless it is for the purpose of completing your quotation or order. Where we use third parties, we will make sure the appropriate controls are in place.

We believe you should be able to control the use of your personal data – and know that you can ask us to stop. Any privacy tools rolled out by Zest either on our website or other channels of communication will allow you to easily exercise choice; including how you provide your consent for certain use, collection and sharing of personal data.

 This Privacy Policy is effective for new and existing users Zest Communications Ltd’s website, applications and offline activities from the date above.

How we collect your information

  • If you supply us with products or services, we collect your name, telephone number, postal address, email address, DX address, VAT registration details if applicable and bank account information.

 What we do with your information

  • The information collected will be added to our customer database and will be used to assist with our service to you; firstly, to provide you with a quotation/product information as requested by you and secondly, to inform you of new products, services and special offers.

  • We use your information to send you the products or services you have ordered from us online, on the phone or by email.

  • We store your details on our business project management systems i.e we use your details to fulfil our orders.

  • We store your details on our servers in the UK.

  • We may also store your information with our cloud service providers.

  • Depending on the product or service you order, we may check your credit history.

  • We don’t use external survey companies that help us to send you surveys to understand your experience of our services. Any surveys will be produced by us.

With whom we share your information

Your information will not be pased on to a third party, unless it is for the purpose of completing your quotation or order or helping us to provide the services you require or as needed on your behalf.

 Where we use third parties, we will make sure there are appropriate controls in place. These third parties (and any subcontractors) are subject to strict data processing terms and conditions and are prohibited from utilising, sharing or retaining your personal data for any purpose other than as they have been specifically contracted for.

 We share your details with our selected business partners. These business partners / service providers may include:

  • Cloud Providers that help us store your information.

  • IT service providers that help us with our internal IT issues.
